St Aloysius College was founded in 1951 and is situated in the Jabalpur Cantonment area. The College is named after St. Aloysius Gonzaga, the Patron Saint of the college, who harbored a burning desire to serve God and his fellowmen. The College provides courses in arts, commerce, science and management disciplines.
I am deeply honored and pleased to intimate you all that St. Aloysius College was in the National limelight in 2001 when it was bestowed two National Awards among all the ChristianColleges in the country. On 16 August 2001, the College was conferred the Dr. P. S. Job Memorial Award for Innovative Educational Programs for the year 2001.
The College Library is well equipped with books and periodicals dealing with diverse topics of interest suited to students. In the era of Information Technology (IT) Information is a vital asset. The college has an Internet Centre which enables the students to access valuable and current information.
The St. Aloysius Community College is a confederation of three community colleges, College Campus, SatyalayamMahilaJagriti Kendra and JogniGraminSwarozgar Kendra. As a measure of serving the society, St. Aloysius College, Jabalpur has taken an initiative to start this project for the underprivileged who are not able to gain life supporting skills due to lack of resources and proper direction.
