   Dr. Fr. Davis George 

1.NAAC Peer team member for several NAAC Peer team visits.

2. UGC Expert committee  member for XI Plan allocation  to Nanded University and Raipur University.

3. Recipient of Dr. Sam Higginbottom National Award for the Best Principals of India, “the Best Educationalist Award”, “Jewel of India Award” and “Eminent Educationist Award”.

 
4. UGC nominee to the governing body for Holkar Science College, Indore.

5. Certificate of Appreciation by Government of M.P. for organizing a number of Voluntary Blood Donation camps with highest number of blood donors.

Department Of Botany and MicroBiology

Students Achievements during past 5 years
1. 04 students from M.Sc. Microbiology secured University Merit Position i.e. I,
II, III & V rank in the year 2007-08.

2. Students received medal during National Level Microtech-One gold medal in
2007, one silver and one bronze medal 2010.

3. One student received 06 gold medals during University convocation for
overall topper in B.Sc. (2006)

4. One student selected and received scholarship for pursuing M.S. from Texas
University and one student recieved the same for pursuing Ph.D. from.

Department Of Electronics and Computer Maintenance

• The Department organized a National workshop on effective role of Information Technology for innovative teaching in higher education from 18th to 20th March, 2007. A large number of participants from various college all over the country participated in this workshop. It was a grand success.

• Dr. P. K. Agarwal is the co-editor of a book entitled "Quality Education: Prospects and Challenges" which has been  published by AS Publications, New Delhi.

Department Of Mathematics

• International presentation of the research paper The Mathematical Philosophy of Pythagoras     A      Relation Between Science And Religion in Summit Hall, Tehran, Iran by Mrs. Mita Darbari

Department Of English

1.Rounaque Grover is the recipient of the running trophy of Best Debater (Reinboth Memorial Award) consequently for the last two years.

2. In the year 2008-09, Megha Menon received the first prize in the National Essay competition

3. Anuradha Banerjee, an ex-student of the Department of English is appointed as the Editor of Oxford University Press.

4. Students of the Department reached out to schools to give lessons in English.

5. Two students of the Department reached upto the State level and won prizes in Inter-University Western Song competition.

      Acheivements:

v      Ritka Khatri got the Second Merit Position in the University in 2009.

v      Neharika Jha of BBA VI Sem (2010) has marched on Rajpath for the Republic Day Parade in New Delhi.

v      Ankit Gupta elected as the President of the Student Union Council with the highest percentage.

v      Mohd. Altamash broke the 25 years record of college in Shot Put Throw

v      Shubham Gupta as in the group of best volunteer in NSS

      ACHIEVEMENTS:

• Dr. Mrs. Anjali D’souza received a National Award “Father T.A. Mathias Award” given by  AIACHE for exemplary work and contributions in the field of Education

•  Deepali Singh and Varsha Bansal was awarded with Sabrandeesh Gold Medal for  securing highest marks in Female category in B.Sc Chemistry in XX and XXI Convocation held on 7th March’05 and 12th October’06 held in RDVV, Jabalpur.

• Organized National Seminar on Nanotechnology sponsored by UGC and    published book and proceedings on Nanotechnology.

• Introduced PG course in Chemistry in 2010

• Placement from the Chemistry Department:  Sudhasatava Ghosh, Dr. Sriram Pranjpe (BARC), Prashant Mehta, Mr. Subodh Parasar (IAS) , Nandan Dubey (IPS), Dr. V.K.Dubey-Prof in USA, B.  DEPARTMENT OF HISTORY

  ACHIEVEMENTS

•  The highlight of 2008-2009 was that the department organized an inter collegiate quiz competition 24th Jan to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Revolt of 1857,first war of Indian Independence, our college team consisting of sunita devi and Nitin kumar won the First prize.

• Our student Sunita devi got gold medal for history in 2009-10 and add another feather to the
  crown of achievements of the History Department.

• One project entitled ‘Role of Political Agents in the State of Jashpur(1905-1947)” was completed by the former Head Dr.Fr. M .Ekka.

• One Research Paper was published in International Journal.
